Trauma Registry in Japan

This presentation discusses implementation of Japan Trauma Data Bank (JTDB) which is a web based registry initiated in 2004 at a budget  of 500 million yen / year. As on 2011, the system covers 196 hospitals and has data base of 80,000 trauma cases. It has total of 98 data elements which are used for different analysis. It uses parameters like Abbrivieatd Injury Scale for analysis purpose and computation of Probability of Survival using TRISS method.

It is good presentation indicating successful aplication of advanced statistical methods for assessing trauma care and improving outcome.
